Atmospheric Assembler
What started out as an Ours & Hours Version 2 is the Month / Day / Year. This pedal is built on the now classic FV-1 and allows for a more hi-fi sound with expanded options. While this is built on the same idea/ideas as the Ours & Hours I believe that this is still a unique product and worth hearing. If you're looking for something boring, this isn't it. Sure, you can dial it almost all the way back and use it as an "always on" just like Ours & Hours, but I believe this truly shines when you're looking to go big. I've had so much fun playing this circuit in a full, big, ambient setting. This is a pedal you can play by yourself or with a band and have a good time.
Modes:
Mix, Time, and Drag controls remain the same regardless of what mode you are in. (Except "Reverse Pitch" Mode!)
Mix - Wet / Dry blend of reverb and clean signal.
Time - Adjust the decay time of the reverb.
Drag - Controls the time of the delayed signal.
- Modulated Reverb
This mode changes the CTRL1 and CTRL2 knobs into a rate a depth control of the modulation. Of course this can set aggressively but my favorite is to set it very subtle and have a slow moving modulation in the background.
- High / Low Octave Reverb
CTRL1 introduces an octave up (think video gamey shimmer reverb) while CTRL2 introduces an octave down. This is incredibly fun to play with and can really beef up some parts!
- Reverse Pitch
Here's the odd ball...but it was so odd I had to use it. This is a kind of a reverse, glitchy, videogamey sound that is difficult to describe. In this setting the TIME control can be used to "tune" the artifacts and repeated sound. I often use this to just match the pitch I am playing, but someone more creative could probably do something amazing. CTRL1 introduces another layer of sounds, but an octave up. It is essentially a loop so if you turn it up too much, it will self oscillate. CTRL2 will saturate the sound in an analog tape style saturation.
Features:
- Soft Touch Relay-Based Bypass
- True Bypass
- 3 Different Modes / Algorithms
- Sample Rate Control
